Blogging athletes are not allowed to use Olympic logo

Vancouver - Olympic athletes blogging during the 2010 Games won't be allowed to use the iconic Olympic rings on their Web pages.

But otherwise, the International Olympic Committee has left the rules around blogging mostly unchanged since its first official experiment with the online chatter at the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing.

The new guidelines free athletes up a bit more and allow them to post content to third-party websites, as long as the posts aren't being used in a commercial way.

But they still can't post pictures of themselves competing, of other Games events or the opening and closing ceremonies.
