Let me start off by saying I strongly believe that each company should hire a branding professional or an experienced logo designer to create their visual identity and signature. Every logo design should be based on a well researched brief constructed on the company's strategies and objectives, as well as on the ever-evolving market. These things being said, where does that leave the "ready-made logo designs"? Do they have a legitimate place on the market? We all know there already is a huge market for them. Ready-made logo designs for sale come out of the designers inspiration, either as exercises the designers make on different themes, or as a result of a sudden spark, a creative wave that "hits" the designer and results in a creative output.

September edition of the Logo of the month has arrived, featuring outstanding logo design creations by some of the most talented designers. We selected great logos that stood out from the crowd through fresh ideas, carefully thought execution and nice presentation. Our special designer mention goes to cpuentes23, who's got three amazing creations in the top ten and also received the Logo of the Month title for a beautiful logo design. Check out these great designs and leave a word of encouragement for the talented designers!

We're back with a "hot from the oven" new release of The logo of the Month, here at The Logo Mix gallery, after a long summer break. I've got to confess, I thought this was an easy one… few good logo designs over the summer, put them together and bam, the logo of the month is ready. This couldn't have been more far from the truth. It seems that a lot of logo designers are keeping busy over the summer, and that they are quite inspired too. We've had an amazing list of logo designs to choose from and we've had to put in quite a bit of work to select the best ones.

It's summer and it's hot! We're here to cool off your creative thirst with some amazing logo designs. You guessed it! It's time for the Logo of the month winners to show off their best designs posted on The Logo Mix in July 2012. Most people are away on a sunny beach during the summer and logo designers are no exception. There are still a handful of designers left to battle on the barricades and keep the creative juices flowing even in the hot season. As usual, we present you with the top ten logo designs posted on the Logo Mix gallery last month to get you inspired, bring joy to your eyes and get the ideas rolling in your head. Enjoy and don't forget to drop a word of praise for the oh, so worthy, designers.

Most of the time it is about that enlightened moment of inspiration. You're all set, ready to put in the hard work and go into every little detail, but you need the spark! You need to go places to get the ball rolling and through this post we want to signal you one of the best places you can go for inspiration.

The Logo Mix is featuring today an amazing project that will inspire you, a project that should go straight to your favorites bookmark, especially if you're a logo designer. Ever since he announced this project around the beginning of this year I stayed tuned as I knew this one was worth following. It's a year long project that's already become a great source of inspiration. Let me give you a hint… it has to do with icons, illustrations and word associations. Guessed it? It is about the highly awarded and amazing graphic designer and illustrator Leighton Hubbell's year long project called 300 RANDOM ICONS. As Leighton states, this is a personal project and the goal is to create and design 300 random icon concepts by the end of 2012. Now I should say that I admire anyone who undertakes a personal project that takes more than six months to complete, as longer side projects have the tendency to challenge you more as they grow older. I especially admire Leighton's project because each one of his icons is an excellent piece, and to keep up that level of inspiration and execution and even take it to a higher standard throughout an entire year is amazing.

Let's admit it. Pen and paper are a designer's ultimate tools. Even if we don't use it as much these days, when we're trying to represent ourselves as designers, most of us would use a pen as an illustrative element. Most of our work is done using a computer and some illustration software, but let's face it… everyone of us starts sketching an idea using a pen on a piece of paper. Maybe you guessed… This is a blog post featuring a selection of logo designs dedicate to "the mighty pen" and everything it stands for… the element that captures our creative juices and transforms them into first drafts, into ideas that catch life on paper, or anything you find to scribble on. Check out this cool selection of pen logo designs and get some creative ideas yourself.

This edition of The Logo Mix interviews features a special guest, a logo designer that is highly appreciated by our visitors, a regular high-end contributor and a several times winner of The Logo of the Month selection. Allow me to introduce to you Jon Stapp, alias ATOMICvibe, award winning graphic designer, with a special love for logo and visual identity design. Speaking about his venture name, Jon calls it an "a-HA" moment of creative clarity and says that, like nuclear fusion, the ATOMICvibe is the point at which tiny ideas coalesce, and then explode into beautiful design. We're honored and happy to present you an interview with one of the most appreciated logo designers here at The Logo Mix. Enjoy!

Almost the entire Europe is watching football (or soccer for the US speaking readers) and we thought we'd dedicate this post to the most important football or soccer event of the year, the UEFA European Football Championship. With football, everything is about that round ball that ignites so much passion and gives the world some of the most fanatic supporters. Drama and excitement, tears of joy and tears of sorrow, happiness and deep sadness, you'll find them all on the football field, stirred up by a ball that gets or not into the net. "The ball is round" they say, meaning that you don't know who gets to be the winners until the game is over. To this capricious round ball, that keeps us all with our souls to our mouths, we dedicate this post. Check out some amazing logo designs inspired by the football or soccer ball.

We're back with our usual monthly Top Ten featuring some of the best logo designs posted in our gallery last month. We were preparing for a close race for the Logo of the month when atomicvibe posted some of his work a threw our top up side down. It was kind of a "vini, vidi, vici" type thing. He came by at the end of the month and swipe us off our feet with an amazing design work. So, yeah, maybe I spoiled the surprise this time unveiling the winner from the very beginning, but this kind of work simply deserved the praise. I'm really not trying to diminish in any way the rest of the beautiful logos that make out top this month. They're totally worthy of your words of love an appreciation. So don't withhold them… post your comments and let the winners know they are amazing logo designers.

An important part of being a freelancer is managing yourself as a one individual business. Now I remember a while back when I told a friend that together with my wife we're a business of two people… myself working on projects and my wife managing things. And the guy said something like "What's she managing? You?" We had a laugh back then, but I knew exactly that managing things and projects was a full time job. A crucial thing for any successful small business or freelancer is getting money in. Let's say you completed the project successfully, got client's agreement on everything… Now what?

1st of June is on its way and everyone is thinking about children, the ones around us or the little kid hidden inside our souls… So we're dedicating this post to all the children out there… When designing a children logo, be it for apparel, toy, foundation or event, as designers we need to reach inside ourselves for a certain sensibility, we need to go back to basics and make use of simple elements and colors. The communication through design has to be straight forward, striped of anything that is not really necessary, reduced to the most important things. No matter how light or intricate your style is, when designing with children in mind, the idea needs to speak to the little ones as much as to the adults, the design needs to be on the common ground of playfulness and simplicity. Most of all though, the design addressed to children must tell a story without words, the logo needs to be "readable" to those who can't read yet. Check out this beautiful selection of children logo designs and reach for the child inside yourself.

We're back, alive and kicking with designers' interview here at The Logo Mix, and this time we're featuring a young logo designer, young not only by age, but also by the short period of time since he's joined the logo designers' guild. With a background in Economics, designing logos only from a couple of years ago, Felix has already made an impact, his logo work being recognized by prestige galleries such as the Logolounge and featured around the logo design community websites. He's also won The Logo of the Month, here at The Logo Mix a couple of times with the well known "OKstag" and the lovely "Polar Bear", so he's already inspired and is well appreciated by our gallery visitors. Felix has been kind enough to take some time and answer a few questions for us and here you can enjoy the resulting interview.
